One of my favorite food events is the Jackson Heights Farmers’ Market. This market is a veritable who’s who of tasty vegetables. It also features cooking demonstrations, education, and music. Plus it’s a great way to get to know your neighbors and local farmers. These farm fresh food products are some of the best the state has to offer. The green market is a general hub for activity and family fun all year round. It is a music event, food event, and rollicking good time rolled into one. All the money spent goes to local farmers and helps the local economy.

Chelsea Market is also a great place to hunt down tasty eats. Their focus is broader and they include baked goods, coffee, deserts, meat, fish, and restaurants.
